Ioppolo Law Group — Where uncommon business experience meets legal know-how

Lake Mary, FL (June 1, 2010) — Frank S. Ioppolo, Jr., a nationally recognized attorney and business leader, announced today the formation of a new law firm, the Ioppolo Law Group. ILG will be based in Lake Mary, Florida.

The Ioppolo Law Group is a business, technology and transactional law firm based in central Florida. ILG focuses its practice in business and transactional law, advertising law, internet and technology law and governmental affairs. Together with the law practice, ILG offers business consulting, mediation and professional negotiation services. What sets ILG apart from other law firms, no matter the size, is the experience of its professionals as business people. Each of the attorneys and business consultants at ILG has held business and legal positions in public or private companies. “We haven’t just drafted documents; we’ve hired and fired outside attorneys. We know the difference between a legal memo and a business solution, because we’ve been the client. We’ve taken risk, enjoyed the rewards or taken our lumps. This “Business-Centric” approach to lawyering is the essence of our firm,” said Ioppolo.

Frank Ioppolo, Jr. had previously been a shareholder at one of the largest law firms in the world before leaving to serve as the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel of one of the premiere performance marketing companies in the country. MarketLeverage Interactive Advertising, Inc. was recognized two years in a row as one of the fastest growing companies in the country by Inc. magazine. While at MarketLeverage, Ioppolo received the 2008 Business Leader of the Year Award from the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the 2010 Success Award for Business Achievement. He has been recognized by his peers in the legal community and voted for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for several years. His contributions to the central Florida community have led the Orlando Business Journal to recognize Mr. Ioppolo as one of the Most Influential Men in central Florida on four separate occasions.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the practice of law full time and I’m also looking forward to working with my dad, Frank Ioppolo, Sr., former Walt Disney World General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Business Affairs, who will provide senior executive business consulting services, including its Mediation, Negotiation and Public Private Partnership areas,” said Ioppolo. Mr. Ioppolo, Sr. is not a member of the Florida bar and will be providing only business and not legal services.

Frank Ioppolo, Sr. spent more than 12 years at Disney, holding both legal and non-legal responsibilities. He sat on the 12 member Steering Committee and played an important role in the vision and planning for Disney’s theme parks, resorts and related businesses, often serving as chief negotiator to execute key aspects of the Company’s plans to establish new businesses such as Disney Vacation Club, Celebration, Disneyland Paris, Disney’s California Adventure, Disney’s Wide World of Sports, Shades of Green at Walt Disney World (the Armed Forces recreation resort), Disney Cruise Line (where he was also a member of the Board of Directors), including the acquisition of the Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas and the negotiations with the Bahamian government to establish the Cruise Line’s Bahamian presence, and redevelopment of the New Amsterdam Theatre on 42nd Street in New York City, one of the most successful public/private partnerships in the country.

Known nationally as a business leader, he served on the White House Commission on Tourism (1995-1996), the Orlando Mayor’s 1997 Economic Development Mission to the Russian Federation, the Boards of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Florida, where he is a past Chair, Junior Achievement, the Orlando Museum of Art; and he is the recipient of important community service awards such as the Secretary of the Army Medal for Excellence and Service to the Nation (August 2001 in connection with establishment of the Armed Services Recreation facilities at Walt Disney World), the Columbus Citizens Foundation Award for Outstanding Business Achievement presented at the 1999 Columbus Day Parade in New York City and the Leadership Florida Distinguished Alumnus Award (1996).

ILG’s goal is to provide its clients with a unique blend of real legal and business experience.
